| Umpires Game Procedures |

| 1. |
Arrive at the park 10 minutes
prior to the start of your game. |
| 2. |
Umpires should be in proper
uniform and have proper equipment needed to perform
their duties (ball bag, indicator, brush, pen, watch,
etc.) |
| 3. |
Check in with the manager on duty
to receive your field assignments and home teams. |
| 4. |
Check for any special league
rules or player suspensions. |
| 5. |
Report to your field 5 minutes
prior to game time for ground rules. |
| 6. |
Make sure that both
teams have line up cards filled out completely, first
and last names, team names, date, field, game time, and
note the time the game actually started. |
| 7. |
Timers should be started after
ground rules and the start time is to be written on the
line up card, keep both teams informed on the time
situation during the game. |
| 8. |
Umpires should check the score
and home runs between innings and keep a running tab on
the line up cards. |
| 9. |
Cards are to be kept by the
umpires and turned in to the manager on duty with the
proper scores marked at the end of each game, with the
winning team's line up card on top. |
| 10. |
Umpires should only take one
short break during the evening; we need to keep the
games moving. |
| 11. |
At the end of the night umpires
must see the manager to get paid and sign the log sheet. |

Food and Drink Policy |
|
- Umpires will
receive all fountain and ‘tub’ water at no cost.
- All other
items, including food, bottled drink products are to be paid for
at the time of placing your order for 50% off, NO EXCEPTIONS!
All alcoholic
beverages are to be paid for at FULL price at the time of order!
Any alcoholic beverages must be consumed after your assignment
is finished for the day and you change out of your uniform!
- All orders
must be made thru the concession windows or thru the manager on
duty.
- Please don’t
ask our employees to make exceptions to these rules because you
will be putting their jobs in jeopardy
- Umpires
are not to be in the kitchen, behind the bars or in any
office are as indicated by signage and/or park management under
any circumstances. (IE, Eggleston, behind the counter in the
front office, RiverStar – behind the counter in the Pro-Shop,
Umpires
abusing or not adhering to these policies will be subject to
termination from working games at all Wessel Sports facilities.
- When
Associations fees are paid in full, each Umpire will receive an
ID card with an assigned unique number. These cards will allow
you free admission to any Wessel Park for the 2008 season.
These are for you – the umpire and not any other person! Anyone
caught abusing this perk will immediately be dismissed from
working at Wessel Parks.
